A cast iron and brass bed finished in blue verdigris with curved brass top rails and central brass rosette decoration. This bed has been expertly restored and extended from an original Victorian frame, circa 1890, and hand painted in one of our specialist finishes called "blue verdigris". This is applied using "dry brush" technique using six different paint colours to create a depth and texture, which is ideal in highlighting the original castings and tubular framework, and creates a fresh bright finish suitable for many room settings.
This bed accepts a UK Super King (6ft, 72 in. or 180cm wide) base and mattress set.
You will need a bed base to support the mattress. Bed bases sit on the bedstead frame and can be either Firm or Sprung and come in different depths with a choice of covers.
