An attractive Renaissance style bedstead with wooden frame and upholstered inside foot panel and carved pediment. The panel on the footboard does show slight signs of age where the panel has opened in the centre (this can be seen in the final picture below). Often bedsteads made with solid wood panels have this tendency. It doesn't detract from the quality of the piece and in fact it is imperfections such as this, which occur through time, that enhances the charm of antique furniture.
