Upholstered bed bases are ideal for antique bedsteads. They provide the support for the mattress on the bedstead frame, dictate the total depth of the mattress and base combination and ensure the longevity of the mattress.

It is as important to choose the correct bed base as it is the mattress and it is important to choose one of quality, which will ensure the mattress can be enjoyed for years to come. All our bed bases are made to the highest specifications, all being handmade, with top quality materials. They are designed to sit upon the bedstead frame, with blocks on the underside to prevent sideways motion. All our bed bases are ventilated, to allow the mattress to breathe.

Choose Your Bed Base Type - Firm or Sprung
Our bed bases come in two types, firm and sprung (with firm edge). The choice depends on the overall feel you want to achieve with the mattress. Please contact our sales team who will be more than happy to help.

Choose Your Bed Base Depth
Bed Bases are available in different depths (which is very important when considering the aesthetics of the bedstead) from 3/4 inch up to 8 inches. Once again, please contact us for advice.

We of course supply all standard sizes but we also offer a bespoke service where we can supply bed bases of any size and shape.
